Relationships between Knowledge, Sanitation and Hygiene of Food Handlers, and Food Safety in the Restaurants in Pasir Panjang, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia

Background: The hygiene factor of the food handler or manager, commonly called personal hygiene, is a very important procedure in maintaining cleanliness safe and healthy management. Hygiene procedures are clean behaviors to prevent contamination managed food. This study aimed determine sanitation behavior based on handlers' know¬ledge safety at restaurants working area Pasir Panjang Puskesmas (Commu¬nity Health Center). Subjects Method: A cross-sectional were conducted center, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara December, 2022. total 47 selected for this study. dependent variable was safety. independent variables knowledge sanitizing attitude handler. data collected using questionnaires, analyzed Chi-square.
